Our Vision

Holistically empowering women and their families on to brighter futures.

Options Pregnancy Centre offers free and confidential support to young women, young men, and families as they navigate unplanned pregnancy. Our vision is to care specifically for the whole woman: physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. It is also to recognize the role fathers and families play within the reality of unplanned pregnancy.

Options support workers are not bound by the same limitations restricting many social and health-care providers, especially in regard to time offered to each client. We are committed to journeying with each person who walks through our door - as they feel led.

Hope is the only thing stronger than fear.

Our dedicated Staff

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love.
But the greatest of these is love.

Marcy Amendt

options coordinator

Marcy's compassion to serve young women came from experiencing her own unplanned pregnancy while she was a teenager. God has given Marcy a heart to love, help, guide, and support young women at a time in their lives when they could be experiencing confusion and hopelessness.

Thousands of young women in the Montreal region will experience an unplanned pregnancy and will need someone to help them see the hope and potential that God has planned for each unique situation.

Marcy is called to serve young women with love and encouragement, and does so practically but also with much investment behind the scenes in building and refining our programs and operations.

Suzy McVeigh DiBiaso

community liaison coordinator

After volunteering at Options on and off over a span of over 10 years, Suzy became an official staff member in 2017.

Hailing from a background in artistic design, marketing, customer service and entrepreneurialism, Suzy has a varied skill set that she longs to use for the glory of God.

Her work is multifaceted and touches on both sides of the bridge: directly with the youth as well as with essential community partners and city officials.

Whether it be preventative work done in schools, mentoring a young mom, web and print design, or meeting with a guidance counselor or doctor - Suzy is able to wear many hats to meet the vast needs in Chateauguay.

History and founding

Founded, built, and sustained with
love, care, and compassion.

Options pregnancy centre was organically founded under the umbrella of Montreal Youth Unlimited  in 2003  through the generous efforts of several members of the community of Châteauguay, and headed by previous (co)director of CYU, Linda Hoare, to meet the needs of the youth coming to Station 7 Drop-in centre.

Since then Options has cared for numerous teen moms and families navigating unplanned pregnancy .

Options has now entered second phase of development to further its mission and services. A ground-level "LIVING room" lounge is being created to host many Options activities and programs, and features a "kids zone" as well as an expanded "ARK" (our free baby and maternity items boutique).
