MATERIAL DONATIONS:

Generous donations from the community make it possible for Options to provide for the material needs of our clients through the ARK boutique.

The ARK accepts baby and maternity-related items that are either new or in gently used condition.

We accept:

  • Baby and toddler clothing/shoes (up to size 3T)

  • Diapers and wipes

  • Bedding

  • Strollers and other baby gear

  • Maternity clothing

  • Breastfeeding supplies (pads, pump, etc)

  • Formula and bottles

  • Bath-products

A drop-off bin is located on the exterior of our building should you desire to donate goods outside our regular business hours.

 

What is the ARK boutique @OPTIONS?

The ARK boutique is a safe space for you to access supplies for you and your little one. We want to help ease the financial strain that baby and maternity items can sometimes bring.

Our shelves are filled with a variety of beautiful items to choose from, nicely organized, freshly sanitized and ready to go!

Our boutique is totally free of charge. Come once, or regularly, as needed. We believe in dignity, respect and trust, so if you come to the ARK, you will be welcomed by our caring team.

  • FIRST PRIORITY GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS AGED TEEN THROUGH 25

What Happens to Donations When We Have More Than We Can Store?

We are deeply grateful for every item donated to our Baby & Maternity Boutique. Your generosity allows us to provide beautiful, gently used and new baby and maternity items completely free of charge to families in our community. Because of you, our shelves are kept full, organized, sanitized, and ready to bless little ones and their parents with dignity and care.

Our first priority is always to ensure the boutique remains well-stocked so families can access what they need throughout the year. However, there are times when we receive more of a particular size or item than we are able to store or display.

When this happens, we thoughtfully steward those overflow items in several ways:

    •    We partner with trusted community organizations who serve families in need, so items can continue to be given out free of charge through their programs.

    •    When appropriate, we provide overstock to local community centres serving vulnerable populations.

    •    We also host seasonal Clothing Giveaway Events in the spring and fall, where surplus items are made available to the wider community — always free of charge.

Every donated item is handled with care and respect. We see the little ones who will wear these clothes as part of our clientele, too, and we are committed to ensuring your donations continue to bless families — whether through our boutique, partner organizations, or special community events.
